A: It is no exactly clear what you are asking. Are you asking if someone is responsible for someone injured in the accident? Are you asking if someone is responsible for the property damage of the car and/or tree?

The first person that may be responsible is the person driving the car. If they had permission to use the car or were named on a policy they may be held responsible if at fault. Was this person driving their parent's vehicle? If so, the parents may be held responsible possibly.

Was the driver drinking and/or underage and arrested? Was a passenger injured?

There are all kinds of scenarios. If you are the parent of the driver, I would inform your insurance company ASAP. If you are the parent of someone injured or property damaged, I would contact an Illinois car accident attorney such as myself or others.

Good luck to you.
