Q: I have custody rights to my granddaughter,her father has just passed and her step mother is trying to take custody.
I have a birth certificate and s.s. card and court papers regarding custody of my granddaughter.Her father was a truck driver who just passed away of the h1n1 virus.The step-mother is now wanting custody,we believe to receive state assistance because she does not work.This is not in the best interest of the child.please help
