Asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: I have been divorced for almost 6 years. During our divorce no custody or child support order was made by the court.

Mostly agreements where made that I would send her my child support which amounts to about 320$ a month for my daughter plus any extra needs. I supply for medical and dental for her as well. Since my PCS to Japan two years ago my wife has made it very clear that she never plans to allow me visitation or a chance at allowing my daughter to live with me. Because of this I have decided to go to court once I am back in the states. If it matters they reside in Jacksonville FL. The questions is my parents have been getting my "time" with her, because she is playing hard ball and is acting untouchable I have two questions. One is there anything I can do about this from Okinawa, two is it possible for me to send the "gifts" to my parents in stead of her and have them make sure the money is properly used for my daughters education, food, and or needs. If so will this surfice with the command on "providing support to my child".

A: You are entitled to visitation, so when you reside here then file your case to enforce your rights. Use of a lawyer is recommended
