Dallas, TX asked in Landlord - Tenant for Florida

Q: How do I evict tenants from my property they have a trailer on?

I lease land to a relative for $300 month that they have put a trailer on. They have not paid rent in a year, not even trying. I am tired of the struggle to get rent and am to the point that I am ready to sell. I am sending a letter to inform them of such and giving them 60 days to vacate. My question is if I have to go through the courts to get them off, how does that work with the trailer? Will the courts make them move and move the trailer? If they move but leave the trailer (its in bad shape) then can I have it removed?

A: You need to go through the eviction process. Give them an appropriate 3 day notice first. Then if they do not pay you have to file suit. It is always best to use an attorney.

A: Do you know how to evict someone legally? If not get an attorney.
