Q: My daughter tried to commit suicide twice she has two kids two different baby fathers. One of the baby father is dead
And the other lives in New York he wants custody of his son. The reason why I moved to Florida was because he was abusing my daughter how can I get temporary custody of both children. Currently my daughter is in the hospital for trying to comment suicidein Florida. She never made a report about what her second son father was doing to her.
A: You need to go see a family lawyer immediately. There is a possibility that you can get a petition filed which would give you temporary custody. If the daughter will consent, you do not have to prove that she is unfit by clear and convincing evidence. I am concerned, however, that you would have to prove that about the father in NY, and you gave no time frames. How long have the children been in FL?
A:
Yes you can get temp custody. Use of a lawyer is recommended
