Q: I recently received my green card.
I recently received my greencard. I have the opportunity of receiving a free 3 mnth online course through a local community college that is funded by the department of labour. I would receive a voucher to do a state exam at the end of the course. Would I be considered a public charge if I did the course?
A: The public charge bar to admissibility does not apply to someone who already has a permanent green card. Nor is it grounds for revoking a green card.
