A: An Oregon attorney could advise best, but your post remains open for four days, and this appears to be something where time is very much of the essence.

You could continue to await a response, but it would be difficult for an attorney to propose a fee for you on a case sight-unseen. In an appeal matter, that can cost you valuable time. As a GENERAL matter NATIONWIDE, appeals are universally governed by short filing deadlines. These are often in the order of days, not years as in the case of statutes of limitations.

You could be better off using your limited time to spring into action by reaching out to attorneys to discuss terms for handling your matter. Appeals take time to prepare and the grounds for appealing a lower court's decision is generally narrow in most jurisdictions. Furthermore, the holiday season is upon us and it could be increasingly difficult to reach attorneys with each passing day. Good luck
