Q: Can the feds pick up a gun possession charge two months after my arrest.

I was arrested 6/22/2021 for possession of hand gun by serious violent felon, dealing in meth. 10 g.

The gun was my wife's she has carry permit and it was locked in a safe. Can the feds make a Federal case from the gun charge?
