Q: Child support modification: I have been unemployed, on disability and requesting a child support modification for a year
I have been unemployed and on disability for the past year, during which time I have sought a modification to my child support obligations. Initially, my request was denied due to my recent job loss, and I was advised to reapply after six months. Upon reapplying, my request for modification was again denied at the support conference, prompting me to appeal and request a hearing. At this hearing, the master dismissed my case without reviewing my brief or considering the evidence I provided. I am currently appealing this decision. Could anyone suggest relevant case law that might help me better prepare for my appeal?
