Q: Slogan idea, some copyright or trade mark on a slogan base there is so many slogan on a t-shirt, what to do copy/trade,

Slogan idea, some copyright or trade mark on a slogan base there is so many slogan on a t-shirt, what to do copyS/tradeS. I like to know is their any legal rules on copyrightS or trademarkS base on the slogan on t-shirts & accessories, and what to do from here, is their regulation rules and legal law to follow and what happens if someone use the slogan over again and again, base what contents or forms do I need to have some can use the slogan, and concipt, base on copyrights on the clothing line and accessories, etc...? The other part if the slogan is thier already on the product and accessories, no one has copyrightS it or trademarkS it, what is next to do base on copyrights it or trademarks, what is the $$cost to do this things and what next base on the application forms do I need to have the stores or affiliate needs to be sign or colint commission on the fees by using the slogan brand, HELP OUT!! etc.

A: You can register your slogan as a trademark if you use it to identify your goods (t-shirts, etc) to distinguish your product from those manufactured and sold by others.

In regard to copyrighting your slogans, words and short phrases, such as names, titles, and slogans, familiar symbols, etc are not subject to copyright, because they are considered generic in nature and lacking the minimal degree of originality, thus not protected by copyright. On the other hand, short phrases (epigrams) are potentially copyrightable subject matter.
