HOWEVER, injury law can be complex and without a lawyer you are not likely to fare well. most injury lawyers work on a contingent % - usually 1/3 plus costs. usually first consultations are free. the lawyer is going to know things about value, responsible parties, insurance coverage, medical bill coverage, payment of medical liens, etc just to name a very few things. don't be "penny wise and dollar foolish" thinking that you will save 1/3 by not having a responsible lawyer. good luck.
