Will i have to pay a fine or go to jail for the DWI?
A: Two things wrong: 1) you did not have a valid license to drive and 2) you were driving while drunk most likely. Consult a North Carolina traffic/DUI attorney immediately. Depending on the charges they may help you stay out of jail and lessen your fines. Sometimes, depending on the circumstances,some of these cases have some defenses, say if improper or no warnings were given, field tests were conducted wrong, or breath test or other tests were administered incorrectly.
