A: As always I would recommend that you hire an attorney to help you with this, divorce can be a very stressful and complicated process where an attorney would be able to be detached from the emotional aspects of the case. If however you don't want to hire a lawyer I certainly cannot force you to. You can go to the IN supreme Court's website where they have instructions for self-represented persons in divorce cases. You may also consider using a free or reduced cost attorney by googling the Indiana Pro Bono Commission, which is a State run program for people who cannot afford to hire a private lawyer.
