Dunedin, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: How can I get custody of my daughter if she was taken from her mother and given to her uncle without my knowledge?

My daughter was taken from her mother by child protective services and given to her uncle without my knowledge and no one ever contacted me. How would I go about getting custody of her? I have been paying child support since she was born and I have seen her on and off through the years her mom always disappears and leaves me with no way to contact her. I have a steady well paying job and willing to get full permanent custody of my daughter. Please help I am clueless of what I need to do. Thank You

A: You need to hire a family attorney. That is the very best thing that you can do. Was the child support court ordered? Was there a determination of paternity yet? I have many questions and this forum just allows you to ask a question, it does not allow for a full discussion between us.

A: You have to file a petition to establish and enforce your parental rights.
