Q: my one son has downs syndrome.am I legally required to pay child support after he turns 18?
my son with downs syndrome lives in new York state.also,our decree that was initially set up by a para legal does not say anything about continuing child support after the age of 18
A: The best thing to do is go see an attorney. Normally, support is paid past 18 for disabled children.

If the child is an adult special needs child then you are on the hook for support for the life of the child.
