Q: Auto insurance doesn't want to pay the whole amount

Hello,

Have been to a car accident. A guy hit me and admits his fault. No police arrived to the scene and we claimed it to his insurance. 10 days later an adjuster from his insurance company calls me back and tells me that he partially sees my responsibility and wants to split the payment. Both me and the other person do not agree with that. What can be my next steps other than claiming the case with my insurance company and paying the deductable? Thank you

A: If the other insurance company does not assume full liability, your best course is to file the claim through your insurance company. Yes, you will have to pay the deductible, But your insurance company will try to get reimbursement from the other company. If they collect 100% of the loss, you get back your deductible.
