Q: H1-B and Permanent Residence at the same time
Hi,My company applied for my H1-B visa on April 1st 2015 and I haven’t heard back anything from USICS yet. I have no idea if I was selected in the lottery either. In the meanwhile, I got married and my husband is a US citizen. He wants to sponsor me for my permanent residence through marriage.
My question is if I go ahead and apply for green card through marriage right now, what happens if I get selected for my H1-B as well. What will USCIS do if it receives both H1-B and permanent residence applications from me at the same time? Will there be any conflicts?
