Q: I had my granddaughter since birth and she is 10 now I adopted her 2 years ago, can I get back pay cs for her?

Her mother and father lives in Ohio, the father is my son. I live in Alabama. The baby mother gave this child away to a family in South Carolina when she was 4 days old, i found the baby one week later, at time I got her she was two weeks old. I bought her back to Alabama with me and i file for temporary custody of her which was granted to me.Her mother signed a document for the family in South Carolina to adopt her before she was born. She's10 years old, and they have NEVER given her one penny for her. The sad story of it all is the mother want her back now that all the hard work is done.

Please tell me I can get back time child support for her, because the mother is working and so is her father.

A: The best thing you can do is to go see a local family/adoption attorney for a full discussion. To answer your question would most likely require some research on this specific topic.
