Q: I loaned my friend $200. The promised interest but only paid the loan amount. Can i recoup the interest?
I loaned the money in June and i was not paid back until September several emails no responses i was given the run around and that's why i was promised interest
A: Find out how much it costs to file a small claims case in your state and have the defendant served. In Florida that would be over $200. Also find out what the legal rate of interest is on a loan in your state. And you also need to find out whether all loans require the payment of documentary stamps. Your best bet is probably to negotiate a resolution.
