Broomfield, CO asked in Family Law for Colorado

Q: Should a 5 year old be allowed to sleep in the same bed as his 12 year old half sister?

My ex is allowing our son to sleep in the same bed as his daughter. I feel like it is inappropriate. My ex says it is bonding time I don't believe that to be bonding time. Our son has his own room and own bed at his dad's so I am not sure why he is allowing him to sleep with his half sister.

A: The is not direct law prohibiting this. If you feel this is inappropriate you will need to file a complaint/review/amendment of your custody agreement. You will need to ask for a psychological review.

Some warnings.

(1) you really should have an attorney do this for you.

(2) you will have to pay the costs for the filing.

(3) you will likely have to pay for the cost of the psychologist.

(4) you may have to pay the other side's fees and court costs if a court deems that your complaint is without merit.
