Q: Can a citation be given an hour after an accident happens and at a different location?
No citation was given at the location at the time of the accident. The officer was waiting for us back at the police station where we had to go pick up a tow release form. At no time did he state that a citation was being written until he had already printed it. The ticket was for failure to maintain in lane. The truck got out of control. Why was a ticket written for something that was an accident?
