Q: I have a child support order coming from nc but i live in fl where can i go to fight this order for i will not be stable
I was a single mother in NY of 2 young girls just fresh out of an abusive relationship with their father. Was struggling to find a job even went to shelter to get assistance no luck. I was severely emotionally and mentally hurt so an idea came upon me via my kids paternal grandma to let her take care of them til I got stable. (She lives in fl) Thought the idea for 2 months (wasnt going stop trying to succeed myself to no avail) so we mutually agree for temp custody to be given to her through the courts. The father was also there but he had no say so as of the abusive relat. Fast forward its been almost 3 years this Dec since this agreement has happened and now I have a child support enforced upon me. Mind you she moved to NC right after I moved from NY to be closer to my girls. Have gotten a job which I have had since I moved here have a 3 bedroom home and have been taking care of now 1 yr old son that I had recently (a diff dad thats not in pic either). to say all this i need help
A: If the CS order is from a North Carolina court, you will have to apply to that court to have it modified.
