Hermitage, PA asked in Domestic Violence for Ohio

Q: My boyfriend was arrested last week for DV. I was intoxicated when I filed the police report and honestly don't remember

This is his 2nd charge with this offense and he is facing felony 5. I know we got into an argument about music and his past drug use, but honestly I don't remember anything else about the night. I had a mark on my face, and didn't remember until days later that it was my puppy that did it. He had to complete anger management and was placed on probation for a year in Feb. I am fairly certain he did not touch me on the evening in question. However, at the time I filed the police report I thought he did because of the marks on my face. If I'm not sure this happened, I don't want to have him have this mark on his record. I don't want to send a potential innocent person to jail. Can anything be done?

A: It sounds like he has already been convicted. There is likely little that can be done about that at this point, but it may be worth reviewing exactly what happened with an attorney.
