Q: Father does not adhere to the 50/50 parenting time and rarely sees his children. Father's doesn't have rooms for kids

Judge ruled 50/50 parenting time w/ 2 kids almost 2 years ago & calculated child support accordingly. Right before the final hearing, Father gave our eldest daughter to me FT and the followng April, gave me our youngest FT. Both reasons being that his GF didn't want the kids there, saying they came between her and Father. Father sees our youngest occasionally 1 X month. Fathers GF doesn't want children in his life and has taken drastic measures. Children have been & continue to be affected by her drama & his absence. Medical split is 73%(Father)/27% Mother, Father owes a few thousand to Mother & refuses to pay. I am extremely worried about the involvement of his personal relationship Father keeps involving the children in & I would like to keep my children away from the toxicity of Fathers GF. I want my children to see their Father, I don't want them to suffer any further verbal abuse/anguish by her. I filed for modification, w/out representation, what do I do for next 3 mo?

A: Until the order is modified, you adhere to the original order. If he continues to decline his parenting time, that's fine, but you cannot withhold or impose any restrictions not in the existing court order. Let the court handle it.
