Hialeah, FL asked in Divorce and Personal Injury for Florida

Q: Can a hotel release my private information and falsify events causing a divorce and mental distress

I've had some turbulent times at home to start and at some point, a friend came down to visit - in Miami. After a few drinks, she couldn't drive and I ended checking her into a hotel. During the check in, i got into an argument with the hotel manager who was very rude and unhelpful. Finally, made sure my friend was in the hotel and I left. My wife suspected something was odd and decided to call the hotel. The hotel's manager returned her call and provided her with all details about me being there, about the friend being there, the reservation details, and to make things worse - a falsified story that she saw us sleeping together.

This caused hell at home and I'm basically going through a divorce due to the hotels actions. I'm losing sleep.. my wiffe is constantly crying due to this and our 2 kids - 2 & 5 are clueless to all this chaos but they do feel something is not right.

I have tried to fix the issue but she is convinced something happened and wants the divorce.

A: This is not personal injury there was no physical injury. Maybe a privacy case, but would somehow need to prove what was said in the phone in out which is nearly impossible. Merely giving out your room details to your legal spouse is not illegal.
