Fort Lauderdale, FL asked in Traffic Tickets for Florida

Q: How can I approach this situation in order to get my money back if possible?

I hired this traffic attorney to go to court on my behalf. I had a red light camera ticket and a fee of $293. I hired them for $69. After the trial I called them up to get an update and I still had a $277 fee to pay, because in their words "the judge wanted to see the video and even though I did not get points on my license nor school, he gave me a $277 court fee." It was very pointless to hire them since the ticket itself would not include any points in the license in the first place and I am ending up paying more. The reason I did not pay directly to the court was because I couldn't afford it. The lady I spoke to said she told me that at the moment of hiring she stated that there was a possibility for me to get court fees which is untrue but she insisted that she has the initial conversation documented which is easy to fabricate.

A: What does your contract say? I would be shocked if it didn't expressly state that there are no guarantees of success.
