Loveland, OH asked in Uncategorized for Ohio

Q: I was injured at a friend's farm while helping to bring her horses in. Are there legal limits on horse liability in OH?

My ER bill was about $3000. My medical insurance company required details about the injury and where it happened. My medical insurance company wants to contact her insurance company for reimbursement. We want to settle this as amiably as we can, without insurance involvement if possible. My med insurance is High Deductible (3000/8000 copay) with an HSA.

A: Your question is a bit unclear. There are no special limits on liability having to do with horses, but that doesn't really seem to be the point of your post. If your insurance company paid out, it has a right to seek reimbursement whether you want to settle the matter amicably or not. If you paid the bill, you can certainly work something out with your friend.
