Q: My brother is 17 and got hit by the other driver which was clearly the other driver's fault. can he get into trouble?
My brother was waiting on a traffic light about to turn right. He wasn't moving but had right turn signal on. The other car came out of nowhere to his right (probably the other driver was driving on sidewalk) and he hit my brother on the right side of our car making the car undrivable. It wasn't my brother's fault. He got a ticket to appear in court to probably explain what happened. So would my brother still be in trouble event if it wasn't his fault?
A: He does have a problem here. He was cited, and it sounds like the damage is going to make it look like he probably hit the other car. He really ought to get an attorney.
