Q: Can I get reimbursement for damaged finger due to bad boat cleat design?
My finger got stuck in the boat cleat when I tied the boat to the dock.
The cleat has bad design, my finger slipped into the opening of the cleat and I couldn't remove my finger.
Other boat cleats are designed differently so your fingers will not slip in and get stuck.
I have no control of my damaged finger since the incident.
A: This would be a products defect issue with a defective design. If you win, yes, you could get damages paid for the injury. Seek out a local products defect attorney to discuss.
A: Products liability cases are very complex and expensive. If there is a defect in the product, there may be a challenge in lining up an attorney due to the costs and risks of such cases. Contact a local products liability attorney to discuss. Good luck with your potential case.
