Youngstown, OH asked in Domestic Violence for Ohio

Q: My bf got arrested for DV Friday 2am.. A neighbor called the cops bc I was screaming and crying..

The cops asked me and I said I was mad bc I think he wasn't faithful to me. I tried to pack my stuff and he was stopping me, But the thing is I used the word push when that is not what I really mean. He was just trying to get away from me bc I keep chasing him for my stuff. I was going to say something else but they stop me from talking and arrested my bf. I was asking them why but they said they have to. The cop came back to get my written but I refused to write it bc I believe he didn't do anything wrong. He never hit me. Not even a single scratch on me.. I didn't get hurt. How can I explain that they misunderstood me. English is my second language and I have problems to express what I really mean to say sometimes.. Please help me.. My Bf is innocent.

A: Your boyfriend needs to get an attorney. They can proceed with a case whether you want them to or not, but it doesn't sound like they're going to have much evidence.
