Asked in Medical Malpractice for California

Q: My mother is an ex cancer patient. Due to her going through chemo and radiation she now suffers from having radiation...

...proctitis. We believe that they excessively ordered a high number of radiation and she's been getting blood transfusions for over a year now. She's anemic and hasn't gotten any better. Can she possibly have a case if she decides to sue the "doctor" who ordered the radiation and chemotherapy? ??

A: Best to consult a member of CAOC who handles medical cases. Unlikely to have a case anyone would take because oncology is more art than science and unless it can be proven that the dosages were totally out of line, it's in the nature of the illness that most pateints have an adverse result.
