Florissant, CO asked in Collections for Colorado

Q: I don't know whether my son should call on old medical bills or not

My son (26) has 5 collection records totaling about $4500 for an accident while uninsured 6 years ago on his credit report. Majority is for ambulance. Opened 5 - 5.5 years ago. Colorado has 6 year SOL. Should he: 1-still attempt to setup payment plan - won't this reset amount of time on report? 2-ignore and hope they fall off report at 7 yrs 3-pay after they fall off report at 7 yrs 4- hope they don't file a judgement within SOL within 6 yrs. When would they do that?

FYI He has never been contacted. I just found them on his credit report Signed Mom.
