Clementon, NJ asked in Public Benefits for New Jersey

Q: I recently left a job due to tripping hazards and diesel fumes in the office. Unemployment is disqualifying me.

Is there case law with regard to leaving a place of employment, the employers were there when they see you trip, they are there when the diesel fumes come into the office (the office is attached to a car detailing center) and after discussing what had happened, two weeks later I left, I have asthma and I was in 3 previous accidents so I didn't want to trip on the wires taped to the floor.

A: You need to see an Employment law attorney and possibly a worker's compensation attorney to provide you with the proper legal advice. Good luck.
