Q: I have DACA and my Sister is a us citizen. How long would it take for me to get a green card if she sponsors me.

A: As a DACA you are functionally a legal question mark (you are not a resident/citizen, but you are not here illegally). Becoming a US citizen takes about 2 years (tests, applications, wait times, etc.)--this assumes there are no red flags (e.g. criminal issues). Becoming a US resident (which is also the first step for most people seeking full citizenship) takes about 6 months to 1 year (the variance relates to the nature of the application). If you have a valid sponsor (a person who can meet the support requirements), a pre-existing job in the US, and no criminal convictions (most traffic offenses are NOT included) the process is relatively fast and painless (by government standards--meaning, long waits). One unknown factor is your country of origin and your education/training (these impact your priority).
