Q: who is responsible for a bad flooring install

I had a vinyl floor installed from The Floor Project store in my kitchen on Wednesday. The store set up the instillation. I paid for the flooring at the store ($400) and the instillation at my home($410). I had a friend who stayed at my home during the instillation. I was at work. When I returned home I started to move my kitchen items back into the kitchen and the floor automatically ripped. My friend told me that the installer only glued around the outside of the floor then I noticed all of the indents in the floor where it needed to be leveled were not leveled. The floor is spongy to walk on and even when you move a chair on the floor it stretches the vinyl. The store has offered to replace the vinyl for free but stated I would have to pay to have it installed. I do not feel I should have to pay to have it re-installed since that poor instillation why I have to have it redone.

A: If you paid for installation, and the installation was done by their person, then it's on them.
