Buckingham, VA asked in Medical Malpractice for Virginia

Q: I had an ingrown toenail removed in December. She was only supposed to remove the corner. It took 7 1/2 weeks to heal.

Now I am losing the whole nail and so far no nail is growing in behind it. She put too much acid in it. She assistants implied she didn't know what she was doing and when I requested an appointment with another physician in the practice he said he had already addressed the issue along with others with her. Do I have a case? I told her to begin with that I did not want the nail to look deformed.

A: Suggest you contact a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Assn who handles medical issues. They may want to wait and see what happens with you. But they give free consultations so call one of them. You do NOT want to mention this on any social media, and even watch your emails. If it does become a claim then the Doctor's insurance will get access to those.
