Q: As the owner of a dog that bit someone where can I find help? All I see are lawyers more than willing to help someone

That's been bit. But I need to know what my rights are. Especially with the way my dog is being treated and neglected in the shelter he is in. Please someone help me. This dig is my everything. This unfortunate incident should not define or end my dogs life. Please.

A: You have two issues. One is the claim for his biting someone.Hopefully you have homeowners insurance that covers that.

Generally, any attorney can help you with issues with the shelter--but they won't do it for free. Some attorneys deal with rights of animals. You might ask the local branch of the humane society or others if they know of such attorneys. Maybe the attorney will at least give you a free consultation.
