Q: What is the best option for us to take for me a non-American marrying an American male?

He is located in Alabama and I'm in Jamaica. We would have known each other almost a year. I've spent a week with him in his country as i have my tourist visa. We initially planned to have me visiting when I'm on holidays (I'm a teacher) but there is only so many times they will allow you to travel in a year. So he wants us to marry. I'm afraid to marry on my tourist visa as its considered visa fraud. Do I stay with him and marry and he can then process the relevant paperwork? Do we try to get a fiancee visa which may take well into a year to be finalized? Should he come to my country and we marry here then he can start the paperwork when he gets home? I must mention I have a two year old daughter from previous relationship and he wants to start a family right away. Hence he wants me to not return home when I visit in Christmas but to stay and marry him. I'm trying to decide which way is better for us.

A: The best way to go would be to get a fiance visa, but it might be difficult since you both have known each other for only an year as you mentioned but with the help from the right attorney you might be able to get the visa and add your daughter as an dependant.

All the best.
