Q: What is likely to happen here in Arkansas with both vehicles claiming green light with V1 turning left and V2 oncoming?
V1 is claiming green arrow to turn left. V2 is claiming green light to go forward in outside lane colliding with V1 passenger side. There were no witnesses and no cameras. This happened 7/5/16 and still V1 insurance company is saying they are still processing the case. We need to know who is likely to be found at fault or what will happen. V2 has liability only and unable to file claim with his insurance. His vehicle is still at the tow company because of no money to get it out and after 60 days they will keep the car. V2 will only borrow money to get car out if V1 is likely to be found at fault and have to pay out for damages and costs. He needs to see a chiropractor and mentioned that to V1 insurance to no avail but continuously putting him off. Thank you for your help!
A: No one can give you an answer over the internet without seeing the report, knowing the light sequence etc. If the light starts out with an arrow then goes to green, if you were stopped and then went on a left turn while other traffic was held, that's different from other light sequences. Generally, the turning vehicle has to yield if no arrow. Why not get a consultation with a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Assn/Assn for Justice? They give free consults. All the best.
