Q: Today i was on my way to work and after a red line as soon as it turn green and i go to the next street a big over sized

Today i was on my way to work and after a red line as soon as it turn green and i go to the next street a big over sized tree branch fall onto my car causing big damages, thanks to god nothing serious happen to my self, now this tree its right in front of a private school and after the accident i noticed the abnormal size of the branch that fell so i though that maybe the city was responsible maintaining the tree safe not only to people like me but to Student or normal pedestrian...what should i do? can i be eligible to some compensation out of this problem? how should i proceed?

A: Unless you were injured physically this is not personal injury. you simply submit the claim to your car insurance company. Or retain a lawyer to investigate and perhaps the school will have to put it on their insurance. But you have no damages other than repairing the car so it's an insurance issue at the end of the day.

A: Find out who the tree owner is. If you can get pictures of the tree. The insurance for the owner of the tree should cover your car. If you were hurt get medical treatment. Your car's insurance should cover what your insurance doesn't. I'd suggest getting a consult from a member of the Fla. Assn for Justice in your area--they give free consultations.
