Q: Will i be forced to repay childsupport not supervised by the courts

Separated 1yr ago. 2 kids. left her the check book. She writes herself a $500 ( may or may not be enough) check every month.

A: It depends. There is not enough information to determine what you would owe in back child support (if any) and if the $500 per month would cover it. Also she would have to go to court to get an order for back child support so it would be better for y'all to reach an agreement and limit the amount of attorneys fees to file an agreed custody/child support agreement.
