Mount Dora, FL asked in Family Law and Landlord - Tenant for Florida

Q: Can friend throw me out of his house after I lived there for 15 yrs just because he wants someone else there now?

We have been living together 15 yrs. From 12 yrs in Ny to 3 yrs in Fla. Everything was going well till I moved to Williston Fla. He met some friends that told him that if he can meet more woman here why would he want to be with me if we aren't married. So now he wants me to leave. I haven't been alone on my own for 15 yrs. I can't afford to move now. He is going to court so he can throw me out into the streets.

A: Yes he can do so and this is not civil rights. You will need to find money or borrow it to move if he is evicting.
