Q: Do I have to answer the Interrigatories sent to me by my ex husband's lawyer and do I need an attorney of my own?
Our divorce has been finalozed since November 2015. I have sole legal and physical custody of our two children. I recently had my ex-husband's wages garnished for child support and moved with our two children to Mississippi. My ex-husband has now hired an attorney and gained a court hearing to try and get me charged with contempt.
A: Yes, and yes. If you do not answer interrogatories, you are facing sanctions for not complying with discovery. If your ex has a lawyer, you should too.
