Q: Need legal counsel immediately for Medical Malpractice case in Whitley Co., KY

My legal counsel had to withdraw from my case because of a Conflict of interest involving my ex-husband. I am seeking legal counsel immediately for November Trial date. I have complete attorneys files including all deposition's ready for Trial. Need KY attorney to help me get my day in Court. Prior Counsel is forgoing any legal fees. I have medical and legal office experience to help with case documents. In addtion, prior counsel will be happy to get new Counsel up to speed on case.

A: Conflict of interest is waivable so maybe your counsel should stay in--it is difficult to get someone to step in for trial. I'd suggest you contact members of the Kentucky Justice Association for that county who handle medical negligence cases.

At a minimum your existing lawyer needs to get the trial date reset so you can find new counsel. You don't want to sign an acceptance of him withdrawing without replacement counsel.
