Q: I have a lease that expires 1017. Landlord has not provided a new lease to sign yet nor have they served a termination.
The landlord has cashed the check that would cover the period of 10/17-11/17. Does the lamndlord bear any responsibilty for providing me a renewed lease? Can the landlod, at this point, decide to not grant a yearly lease and consider me to on a month to month lease therefore charging higher rent?
