Q: What are the Bully Laws in my area?

My boyfriend's sister doesn't want me in her brother's life, I am in my 50s, my boyfriend in his 40s and his sister is 50. Twice now she has harassed/bullied me on this subject. Once on the phone about a month ago, and this past Saturday evening while she was here in our home to visit her brother, he told her before she came that she would not harass me; but she did anyway and without any provocation. The stress she caused me led to me have a seizure the following day, I am still recovering. How can I protect myself from the trauma of having to be subject to her hatred and consequential harm to myself? I was a victim of abuse for 8 years in a previous marriage and because of it have suffered from Conversion Disorder, which she knows about. I have worked very hard to stay healthy and have been successful until her bullying. Here is information from the Mayo Clinic: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/conversion-disorder/basics/definition/CON-20029

Thank you,

RA

A: The law doesn't protect against people being idiots. Unless there is a third party that she will respect, sounds like the type of passive aggressive who loves to get on people so reacting just reinforces. Suggest boyfriend set boundaries, be willing to enforce them.

A: PS check out EMDR therapy if you haven't alredy. Has helped probably hundreds of thousands by now, generally cost effective, no drugs required. Good luck!
