Q: I have 50% custody of my special needs child. Im remarried now. If something happens to me can my wife keep my custody?

My child is 12 years old and has been with my wife for 3 years now. So he is very familiar with her and loves her but being special needs he will always be depend on us. if in time something were to happen to me would my wife still be able to have him 50% of the time?
