Q: how do i go about rescheduling a court date
i have a criminal court date tomorrow morning in UTAH and my roommate who had agreed to take me will not be able to do so i do not live within reasonable distance to get there on my own and i just dont know what i am going to be able to do about it i do not have a lawyer as the court had appointed me one for my arraignment but since its over and this is a status check so i know that i cannot just call the court clerk to have them do it as ones have to me in the past that they are not able to do so themselves but what they do though is dictate a note to the judge explaining that i wont be able to get there but the judge doesnt nessicarilly get it either in time or just fails to look at it all together so how do i go about this as i do not wish to have a warrant issued so close to the holidays
A: Well if you don't show up you will have a warrant. You need to call and set the case for a warrant review with the clerk as quickly as possible before you are arrested.
