Hours are deducted from my weekly check to cover rent it also says if the property is forclosed or is sold my lease and contract still stand to end tenancy both parties must agree or criminal conduct must be proven now the new owners want to renavate the property and have asked me to move out next month there reason being is they can nolonger afford me and want me out I have been stressed out because finding work is very hard where I live in North Carolina and I have no where to go when they kick me out so can I sue them for breach of contract for the remainng time left on my lease which would value at 30K worth of rent so do I have grounds to sue them
A: Whether or not you can sue will depend on the exact language of the lease. Leases almost always have a termination clause in them allowing the landlord to terminate the lease upon some or no reasons with proper notice. If the lease says that termination can only be had upon mutual agreement, then it is a non-cancellable lease and you are entitled to possession throughout the term of the lease.
