Q: Can an animal vaccine manufacturer be sued?
Hello, I was wondering if an animal vaccine manufacturer can be sued over the death of an animal. We had to put our dog down today because of distemper, even though she had been vaccinated. The vet has the records and is checking to see if the manufacturer will pay the veterinarian bill for having treated her over the last 5 days. I live in Oklahoma and was wondering if any more can be done with regards to the manufacturer. We treated our dog like a family member.
A: If its a recurrent problem, possibly a class action. The law treats pets like objects.They have a certain retail value, and the value of your pet based on resales for dogs of that age, variety, condition is what youi get--what it meant to you, you don't get.
